  • What is a Purpose Driven-preneur? – 3 Tips to Creating Captivating Video Content

A long time ago, there was a young king who was on a quest to find the riches of the world. This king grew up with everything. Servants waiting on his every command and plenty of food and land. He wanted for nothing. As he was reigning on his throne, he heard of a wise man that had the key to all the riches. He requested that the wise man visit him to tell him where the key was even though he lived miles away.

Waiting weeks for a response, the king grew anxious and went to see the wise man himself. He brought his many riches to pay the wise man to tell him where the key was. When the king reached the wise man, he noticed he was blind and wasn’t rich. He wasn’t even well off. He looked like a beggar. Upset about what he was seeing, he turned to start his journey back to his throne but he heard a soft voice come from the old man. It was so soft that the king could barely hear it, but he turned around to hear him anyway. The wise man said it again. The king grew closer. The wise man said,”The Key” while pointing. The king kneeled at the wise old man facing him. He said it again pointing at his chest. The key is here. It’s always been here. The young king finally realizing what the wise old man was saying stepped back and smiled brightly. He thanked the wise old man and headed back home to his throne.

What is a Purpose Driven-preneur? - 3 Tips to Creating Captivating Video Content

What the young king realized was that all the riches of the world can not be found in no other place than within himself. He understood that God has given him all the riches within himself to be great. All the creative ideas to generate wealth and a legacy. It’s already in him. He has to bring it out of himself. And that’s what I want to say to you.

You have all the greatness within you, NOW, to do great things and create wealth for yourself and the legacy after you. You may be new to entrepreneurship or you have a few businesses under your belt. This is just a reminder for you to look within yourself for your greatness. You are here for a reason. For a Purpose! You have a gift and a talent. You have the ability to develop skills. It’s already in you! It’s just up to you to look within to find that greatness. And when you find it, you share it with the world. That’s the true meaning of a Purpose Driven-preneur.

Purpose Driven-preneurs are entrepreneurs who live life making real change in the world with their work. They can be a Stylist, a Fitness Coach, a Music Artist, and even owners of a Media Company (Shameless plug). Their purpose is in their work. They function just like every business out there; selling a great product/service, growing their clientele, taking business meetings and finding ways to keep expenses low and profits high. That doesn’t change with Purpose Driven-preneurs. What changes is the way they do it. They make real change in the world because they are building a business, and generating revenue. And with revenue, things change!

Content Creation for Purpose Driven-preneurs

When we started That Kind Of Media, we didn't have everything all planned out. We just knew that we had a gift and a talent, and we were good enough at it that people would be willing to pay us for our services. It was easy to create content for other people, but the challenge came when we started thinking of content to write for ourselves. I mean, what would we create? Obviously we would showcase our work but that gets boring half of the time and isn't always effective when acquiring new customers. So we had to get creative and find other ways to create captivating content that attracts more customers to us. I want to take you through the 3 Tips to Creating Captivating Video Content so you can stop being overwhelmed by Content Marketing and get back to what you do best... Your Business!

Beginner Content Creator???

I want to start by saying content creation can be intimidating, especially when you are just starting out and don't know where to begin. It's important to build an audience around your ideas and products so that you can share them with potential customers and partners, but figuring out how to make it happen is another story entirely. Don't worry—here's the good news: creating content doesn't have to be difficult.

There are 3 Tips to creating captivating video content. These steps will work no matter if you are new to content creating, or you've been doing it for a while. Use these steps when thinking of creating content.

3 Tips to Creating Captivating Video Content

Tip 1: Content Creation Ideas - When it comes to creating content, you don't want to just start randomly creating without an idea or plan. Doing this will lead to a bunch of random videos that have no purpose and won't gain any traction. Instead, brainstorm ideas for what type of content would be interesting and attract viewers. Ask yourself questions like, what topics will engage your audience? What themes appear in my content that are most popular? Which social media platforms should I use to promote this content? Brainstorming ideas is a great way to get started with creating captivating video content.

One way we think of Content Creation Ideas is by categorizing the content we create. What does that mean? This means we start with “Trendy Templates" that can spark ideas for the content you want to make. For example, if you own a hair salon and you want simple content that you can create in 15 mins or less. Answer: Create a "tweet video". This will allow you to say something about you or your business, create content in a short period of time and keep your followers engaged in your page. Want another one? We got you. Let's say you own a fitness gym and you want to show off the energy drink you're offering but you don't want to blatantly tell your followers to buy it. Here's your solution: Make a Product Test Video. Have a few of your regulars taste the drink in front of you, record their reaction and end it with your brand or logo. How much time would that take? Not much! It's Simple and Easy, and it gets you back to doing what you do best! If you want more ideas like these, download our free "Trendy Content Topics Template".

Tip 3: Content Creation Framework - When it comes to creating content, it's important to have a framework in place so you can be consistent and offer the same quality of content every time. This doesn't mean that all your videos need to look and feel exactly the same, but having an outline with step-by-step instructions will make sure you're staying on track and producing the best videos you can! Here's our framework for creating content. You can learn more about creating a Content Framework in this blog

Step 1: Research - Before you even start making a single piece of content, it’s important to do some research. This includes understanding who your audience is, what type of content they like, and what topics they’re interested in.

Step 2: Outline - Once you have a clear understanding of your audience and the type of content they're hungry for, it's time to create an outline. This should include what topics you want to cover, how many videos you’re going to make, and when they will be released.

Step 3: Plan - Once you have your outline in place, it's time to start planning. This includes picking out music, images, and any other elements you want included in your video. This is also the time to make sure all of your equipment is ready for filming!

Step 4: Create - Now that everything is planned out and ready to go, it's time to start creating. This involves recording and editing your video until you have the final product that you’re proud of.

Step 5: Promote - After the content is complete, it's time to post it across your social media channels and other outlets. Make sure to promote it properly in order to get your content seen by as many people as possible.

Step 6: Analyze - After you’ve promoted your video and it has been out in the world for a while, it's time to analyze the results. Check out the views, comments, shares, etc., to see how well it did and what changes could be made to make your content even better in the future.

Use these 3 Tips when you're in your content creation process. Remember, this stuff takes time. You get better and better as you grow. Take your time and do it the right way. If you do it right, you don't have to worry about going back to fix things you wish you would have done right the first time around. We hope that helps, and we see you out there doing great things in the world. Keep shining your light on 'em!

Love -
